“ala is reopening its doors at their Dupont location today, Friday, March 20, starting with the dining room area. The upgrades include a 220 person capacity and bright, Mediterranean-inspired architecture. The patio and upstairs are soon to follow in time for guests to enjoy the warmer weather. “ala will be briefly closing their Washington DC location for renovations beginning Thursday, January 8. The Levantine restaurant first opened in March 2021 in a space that, until now, has not been majorly renovated since 1998. Given all of the uncertainty in the city, ala wants to commit and invest in the community by updating their location to reflect what DC deserves, a bright welcoming space that brings people together.
