A reader passes on the sad news from Paste & Rind yesterday:

“I’m writing with some tough news.

After deep and painful consideration, I’ve arrived at the decision to indefinitely suspend bar operations at the end of this year and all operations in early 2026.

– We will have regular bar hours through December except for Christmas Day (Thursday 12/25), with our last service being Sunday 12/28.
– We will continue to operate our stand at the Trinidad Market through December and into 2026 as we work through inventory.
-We will also be at the Arboretum Winter Festival & Christmas Tree Sale 2025 this Saturday 12/6 and the Procrastinator’s Holiday Market on Saturday 12/20.
– Our last Trolley Club boxes will be picked up or delivered the first week of January.

On November 20th a reader wrote us: “Recently went to our Bullfrog Bagels on H Street and the old Star and Shamrock side of the place is under construction. The Bullfrog staff said they would ultimately be moving somewhere else on H street but don’t know where or when.”
