“Tiffany’s Bar & Bistro, the modern Mediterranean restaurant located on H Street’s historic corridor, is celebrating its one-year anniversary on July 15th. The husband-and-wife duo Malti Chaudhari and Mehmet Suktuli opened Tiffany’s in celebration of their love story and Mehmet’s Ottoman-style culinary roots. Tiffany’s is resemblant of the couple’s personal love story, as Malti’s engagement ring was purchased from Tiffany’s & Co, the couple’s marker of the beginning of their journey. Within days of the restaurant’s opening, the couple welcomed the birth of their daughter, whose name is carefully imbued in one of the restaurant’s many murals hand-painted by Mehmet and friends.
On Wednesday, July 15th, guests dining at Tiffany’s will receive a complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate the anniversary alongside their meal.
Menu highlights include the Spread Sampler which includes Hummus, Herbed Pistachio Whipped Feta, Htipiti, Tzatiki, and Beet Labneh served with the restaurant’s house-made pita bread. Additional mezze options such as the vegetarian-friendly Dolmadakia and the Seared Cyprus Halloumi can be enjoyed alongside Tiffany’s 21-day dry-aged Duck Shawarma served with almond pilaf, wild mushrooms, amba, and tahini sauce, and the Seared Scallops, served atop saffron polenta purée, salmon caviar, chives, and herb oil. Sweet options round out the menu, with the restaurant’s signature Dubai Chocolate Cheesecake layered with pistachio cream, toasted kadaifi, and mascarpone available alongside a selection of coffee and tea.
In addition to complimentary champagne, Sip and Paint DC will host a guided painting session in the restaurant’s upstairs bar area from 6pm to 8pm. Guests are invited to paint a scenic romance portrait with all art supplies and guidance provided by the artist.
