Update from Melange’s PR team: “Unfortunately, the news is true. This weekend will be Melange’s last day at its current location.”
A reader reports earlier this week: “Just heard from the staff at Melange in Mount Vernon Triangle that they are closing up their restaurant. Sadly this is their last week.”
Perhaps focusing on Doro Soul?
I’ve sent messages to their PR rep and the restaurant but have not heard back yet. A call to the restaurant this morning rings without answer or voicemail. Will update if/when I learn more.

Well this is terrible. Not sure when it happened but RIP to a legend. Don Jaime’s has been a staple in Mount Pleasant forever. Well for as long as I can remember. Damn. Welp, updates when we learn what becomes of the space.
