808 7th Street, NW Ed. Note: Smashburger opened in half of the Fado space so I guess TB Cantina will be opening in the remaining half.
In April 2020, After 22 Years, Fado announced it was officially closed forever. Now a new liquor license has been applied for 808 7th Street, NW – Taco Bell Cantina. The liquor license placard says:
“New Retailer’s Class “C” Restaurant with a Seating Capacity of 21, and Total Occupancy Load of
67. The Licensee is also requesting the Alcohol Carry – Out and Delivery Endorsement.”
DC’s first Taco Bell Cantina in Columbia Heights opened with great fanfare and anticipation back in 2021.
