“The Third District is currently investigating a shooting in the 1300 block of Park Road NW. A juvenile male has been transported to an area hospitals with a non life threatening injury to the leg. There is a second individual with a minor injury that we are investigating to determine if it is a gunshot wound or not. Motorists and pedestrians can expect road closures in the area as we investigate.

“MPD officers are supporting Metro Transit Police with an assault that occurred at the SW Waterfront Metro station at approximately 7:15 PM. One juvenile victim of that assault was located at the Archives-Navy Memorial with a stab wound. Metro Transit Police will be handling the investigation and anyone with information related to the assault should contact Transit Police at 202-962-2121.”

“About 15-20 teens were seen fighting, two persons got stabbed: a 17yr-old boy with a wound to his hip and an older man with a defensive cut to his hands.”

UPDATE: MPD tells me that three adults were arrested and a “large” amount of marijuana was recovered. The space was allegedly being used as a distribution point for illegal sales.

We are incredibly sad but unfortunately not surprised to let you know that this past Friday, less than 24 hours after many of us sat around the Thanksgiving table in gratitude, anti-Semitic graffiti was carved into a door and drawn on a stairway of our historic building.
