We are excited to announce the return of Juneberry Garage‘s lovely patio bar on the old Walter Reed campus on Thursday, March 27th. While our interior space is still under construction, that’s not going to stop us from soaking in some sun and enjoying some cold drinks in the meantime. We’ll also be hosting some great food vendors with a different cuisine every day (pizza, Mexican, BBQ, Burgers and more). (more…)

“Hardware & Blue’s Coffee coming to The Parks at Walter Reed
A combo hardware and coffee shop, with offices above, will be taking over the historic 18,000 SF former nurse’s quarters in Building 12, the building right on Main Drive across from the playground. News of the purchase was announced earlier this fall. Building 12 will be revitalized and transformed into a True Value-branded hardware store that pays homage to its heritage, paired with Blue’s Coffee & Tea Co., a Washington, DC-based Black family-owned coffee and tea cafe. Blue’s Coffee has previously sold their coffee at the farmers market at The Parks. (more…)

“Juneberry Garage: A New Gathering Place Opens Its Doors
Get ready to sip, snack, and socialize at Juneberry Garage, the latest addition to the historic Walter Reed campus. Partners Josh Saltzman, Chris Powers, Robin Webb, Trent Allen, Jeremy Riley and Gladys Kamau are hard at work transforming the historic auto body shop into a bar and restaurant. But in the meantime, they’ve set up shop to serve seasonal snacks and beverages on the patio from a vintage airstream trailer. Come enjoy the fall weather with some hot cider and eats, as well as a variety of draft beers and cocktails.
Located at 6810 Cameron Drive, Juneberry Garage is the perfect pit stop after a trip to the Whole Foods or a ride through Rock Creek Park. The expansive patio will also be a great place for dogs to bring their owners after visits to the adjacent dog park. This initial offering provides a taste of what’s to come as the restaurant prepares to unveil its full kitchen and bar next year, designed by CORE architecture + design.
