“Dear PoPville,

A little kid left his stuffed turtle on the L2 bus and I’d like to try and get it back to him! At around 6:30pm Thursday 10/25 I was on the L2 bus traveling south toward Farragut square. I was sitting in the very back of the bus and a little boy (around age 3 or 4) got on the bus with his mother around the Van Ness area, they sat on the other side of the back of the bus. They got off at the stop right in front the Cleveland park library. A few stops later I noticed a little green stuffed turtle, which looked well loved, sitting on the seat.”

If its your child’s turtle please email [email protected] and I’ll put you in touch with OP.

“Dear PoPville,

Hoping you can help me! A woman’s watch fell off on the metro (Rosslyn, on the blue line) this morning and I couldn’t get it to her before the doors closed. She looked so bummed through the window and I would love to get it back to her. Maybe we can find her?”

We can and we will – Internet do your thing and when the lady sees this – please email [email protected] so I can connect you with OP.

“Dear PoPville,

I found a set of keys on H street NE and stared at them, torn, for a while. Do I leave them there in case the person comes back or retraces their steps? Do I take them and try to find the person? What does the PoPville world think is the best route here?

In other news, I have a set of keys that does not belong to me. If you lost some keys and want them back, tell me about them at [email protected]

(Spoiler alert: I took the keys. I left my info with two semi-identifiable locations on their keychain but no callbacks yet)”

“Dear PoPville,

This is a long shot, but what could it hurt? On Friday my husband lost his wedding band somewhere. He works downtown D.C. near 11th & F, and commuted home on metro getting off at the Columbia Heights metro stop and walking home to upper 14th. I’m not positive that the ring slipped off his finger, but I thought it couldn’t hurt to put out at PSA. He has a very simple gold mens band, and as most people can attest, it’s not worth a ton monetarily, but has significant personal importance. Unfortunately, its not engraved with anything to make it stand out, but if someone spotted it or happened to find it, could you please contact us?”

Please email [email protected] and I’ll put you in touch with OP if we get a miracle.

“Hello all,

Anyway anyone has come this ring or this bracelet:

– on 16th St between Blagden and Columbia Rd NW
– on Columbia Rd between 16th and 18th, or
– on 18th between Columbia and L St NW?

The ring was given to my by my aunt and godmother three weeks before she died last April. It was her 21st wedding anniversary ring from her husband.
The bracelet was the first gift I ever received from my spouse.

Both have EXTREME sentimental value. I am hoping for some good Samaritans out there… I’ve also filed a police report in case someone turns it in there.

Thank you,
Megan”

“Found this sweet leather bag last night on T street in between Florida and 5th. It’s got about 20 records in it and some documents. Would love to reunite it with its rightful owner. If someone can give a description of the documents or name more of the records (not pictured) – then we can set something up.”

If it’s yours email me at [email protected] and I’ll put you in touch.

“Dear PoPville,

I found a wedding ring on the sidewalk at 18th and R around 8:00 AM this morning. If anyone lost a ring recently, they can contact me through this craigslist post.

“Dear PoPville,

At approximately 8:00 a.m. yesterday March 8, I found a WMATA Smartcard at the intersection of 7th and L Street NW. At 5:15 p.m., I turned it into the WMATA staff at Metro Center with a post-it including the same info. Attached is the card with the registration number on the back. I hope we can help reunite the card with its owner!”

“Dear PoPville,

This morning, while walking my dogs along Maryland Avenue NE between 13th and 14th St NE (and taking my gloves off, putting them back on), I lost my two rings. (Damn cold weather finger shrinkage.) They were my grandmother’s and are incredible precious to me.

I know the likelihood of getting them back is slim, but I’m willing to hold out hope that maybe someone found them. And I’m trying all means available to me to do so.
