8th and H Street, NW across the street from the Carnegie Library and the coming Apple Flagship store

Techworld!! I worked here way back in the day in my previous life and I feel like there used to be a gym here – anyone remember which gym that was or am I losing my mind? Ed. Note: I realize that is not mutually exclusive. Anyway, thanks to Bry for sending the news that an Equinox is coming!

Thanks to Rachel for sending:

“I noticed at 506 K Street NW (Across from the Giant) in Mt. Vernon, there was new gym/training place opened called EPIC. I called and it is their grand opening this week and they’re offering $1 classes until 2/4/2019 when you register on their website (It’s the last option when you pick the class you want to attend)

Looks like a fun atmosphere for people who don’t enjoy regular gyms.”

“Dear PoPville,

BREAKING News! Sixth Engine also closing on Mass and 4th. It’s a bloodbath! Apparently something is moving in, so it won’t be empty long. It’s a real bummer, it was a great after work spot.

Ed. Note: Update from another reader: “I can confirm Sixth’s Engine’s closing. I was at the closing party last night.”
