Alba Osteria Opens in Mt. Vernon Square

425 I Street, NW from early November

“Dear PoPville,

Alba Osteria is officially open! I went to happy hour tonight with a friend, and so far I like it, so I thought I’d spread the news….

During happy hour, all of their draft beers are $4, including a pretty decent selection of local and other craft beers. There are a few random meat-based food selections, plus all of the pizzas are half off (so about $6-7 each, I guess) and there are a lot of vegetarian options there. I was worried about the atmosphere but it was pretty nice and low key. It also wasn’t too loud or anything … although it was far from filled when I was there from about 5:15 to 8:30 or so. Hooray for new places in the (work) ‘hood!”

Their facebook page says:

“Guests can anticipate cuisine from Chef Roberto Donna’s home region of Piemonte, Italy with a focus on the town of Alba. Guests can anticipate an expansive salumi and formaggi counter, plus a selection of antipasti, house-made pastas (available in small and large portions), and Neapolitan pizzas. A variety of daily specials displayed in “Italian sized” portions will also be available for sharing in the traditional Piemontese fashion.”

Their hours are:

Monday – Thursday
11 AM – 11 PM
Friday
11 AM – 12 AM
Saturday
10:30 AM – 12 AM
Sunday
10:30 AM – 11 PM

Check out the dinner menu after the jump.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
