“Barbeque and pizza fans can rejoice and enjoy a new collaboration from 50 Top Pizza’s #2 ranked slice shop in the U.S., Slice & Pie and two-time Michelin Bib Gourmand recipient Federalist Pig. The two local, award-winning District-based businesses are combining their respective passions for pizza and classic American barbecue to launch a brand-new New York style pie, a collaborative effort from pizza master Giulio Adriani and pit master, Rob Sonderman. The Federalist Pig Pie, available exclusively at Slice & Pie, features a base of white garlic cream sauce with smoked mozzarella, chopped brisket (a Federalist Pig specialty), roasted potato, caramelized onions, pickled jalapenos, red onions and a garlic BBQ sauce drizzle. Animal Fix

Meet Twix, your future best friend! This gentle, loyal, and easygoing boy is all about love—whether it’s cuddling up, greeting guests with tail wags, or being a patient, affectionate buddy to kids (he spends every night cuddling with a 9 year old in his current foster home). He’s great with other dogs, enjoys playtime but is just as happy lounging with his favorite toy.

Twix is well-behaved at home, crate-trained, and making great strides in leash manners. He’s only had an occasional accident when left alone for a little too long. Ready to add some sweetness to your life? Apply to meet Twix today!

This 9-month-old tabby is the best of both worlds—playful when the toys come out, but a total lap cat when it’s time to relax. Born in April, Clove has grown into a friendly, independent little cuddle bug who knows how to have fun and when to settle in for snuggles.

She and her sister Parsley are pro-level playmates, always tumbling and pouncing on the next adventure. But once playtime winds down, Clove’s favorite spot is right in your lap, ready for a cozy catnap.

She’d love a home with another friendly feline and a human who appreciates top-tier cuddles. Ready to add a dash of Clove to your life? She’s excited to meet you!

Dear PoPville

“Dear PoPville,

For at least 4 months now, tenants of QH apartments have been dealing with the most foul smell ever. It’s like rat sh!t meets a dead animal(s) And it has leaked into the elevator, stairwell, laundry room, gym, etc. Management doesn’t care. They think cleaning at 2am is suffice and yet we’ve all continued to suffer from the smell. Some residents have even seen rats running around the gym and in the ceilings above. It’s a safety hazard for many reasons. (more…)
