“Chief of Police Pamela A. Smith has announced the establishment of a Juvenile Curfew Zone in Navy Yard.
The Juvenile Curfew Emergency Amendment Act of 2025 gives the Chief of the Metropolitan Police Department the authority to order a Juvenile Curfew Zone in an area where large groups of youths are gathering or intend to gather in a manner that poses a risk of substantial harm to public safety.

The DC Chamber Musicians close out the 25-26 season with popular works by Brahms and Dohnanyi, and three selections of newer works that are sure to delight. All set in the lovely St. Thomas’ Parish Episcopal Church in the Dupont Circle neighborhood. I wanted to write to you to see if anyone else has experienced the new parking scheme at Sam’s Park n’ Ride in Cleveland Park. I went to pull into the lot the other day, and it said “just pull through” with no ticket to pull. I did so, and it looks like I had signed up for Metropolitan parking in the past, so it didn’t prompt me to sign up like the signs say to do. I drove out per the “just drive out” sign, and was hit with a parking charge of $26 for less than 15 minutes of parking.(more…)

Emailing you from the ER! I just hit a divot on the 15th ST bike lane heading south. It’s very hard to see, and i flew over the handlebars, tearing up my arm.
