“Dear PoPville,

Curious if anyone has reached out about the fliers and signs in Park View about Bruce Monroe Community Park, in advance of the upcoming Comprehensive Plan Amendment hearing next week. Since the Court of Appeals case for Bruce Monroe did not go the way of the city, in the Comp Plan, it seems DC is now proposing the park change to a high density commercial zoning space. (more…)

Neighborhood: Columbia Heights (13th & Clifton)
Bio: My boyfriend and I adopted him June 7th from the Humane Society of Shenandoah Valley. He loves sleeping on my lap, hunting his feather mouse toy, and attempting to steal Goldfish crackers. We rock him to sleep every night with lullabies, and he demands attention 24/7 (obviously).”

Join veteran Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey clown Jim Dandy and award-winning burlesque performer Delilah Dentata for Yolks on You, a brunch-time romp that celebrates the funniest, strangest, and most delightful variety performers they can find.

Over the years, we’ve welcomed burlesque, clown, live music, flow arts, drag, mime, pole, puppets, and a few things we still don’t quite know how to describe … and we’re doing it all again in May!

Dear PoPville

“Dear PoPville,

Now that the *DC* election results are in, I’m wondering if there is a coordinated drop-off point for folks to recycle signs and/or metal stakes. A quick search online shows that the city did something like this in 2008, but has there been anything announced for 2020? I have a few signs in my yard, as do many of my neighbors.”
