“Attorney General Brian Schwalb announced today that his office, along with a coalition of 24 state law enforcement agencies, is joining a lawsuit previously filed by the Federal Trade Commission against Uber Technologies, LLC and Uber USA, LLC (Uber), the operators of the rideshare and delivery company. The lawsuit alleges that Uber used numerous deceptive and unfair practices in offering and selling its Uber One subscription service, which the company promotes as saving users money on rides and deliveries. However, the coalition alleges that Uber violated consumer protection laws in multiple ways, including by enrolling users without their consent, charging users for subscriptions before their free trials ended, preventing them from cancelling their subscriptions, and misleading users about savings. More than 100,000 DC residents are Uber One subscribers. (more…)
Over the past few years, I have attempted to reserve a car from the Hertz/Dollar location at Union Station 6 times. Of those attempts, only 2 were successful, but only after being wait-listed for like half a day. The other 4 times, I either cancelled my plans or scrambled for a last-minute alternative.

Logan Circle Main Street, in partnership with K-Bird, Barrel House Cafe & Bar, and Emily of LOVERS Plant Studio & Wares, is excited to announce the launch of the Logan Circle Creative Market, a new monthly outdoor market designed to bring together local artists, makers, small businesses, and neighbors in the heart of the Logan Circle community.
The first market will be May 3, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM along P Street and Rhode Island Avenue NW, including the exterior of K-Bird and the northern exterior of Barrel House Cafe & Bar.

“The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in the search for three stolen puppies in an armed burglary in Northeast.
On Sunday, December 14, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., Fifth District officers responded to a residence in the 1500 block of Benning Road, Northeast, for the report of a burglary.
