Thanks to all who passed on the rumor from UrbanTurf last night saying that Call Your Mother could be coming to the former Little Red Fox space (5035 Connecticut Ave, NW.) I’ve been sitting on this scuttlebutt since Friday because I’ve been trying to get confirmation from Call Your Mother (in the past they’ve been quick to respond to my queries.) My guess is that, if true, Call Your Mother will not announce until Little Red Fox’s last day on December 23rd so as not to overshadow their last days. This is a personal decision by us, store owners Matt and Jena. In order to address complicated health issues and prioritize the well being of our family, we’ve had to make the very difficult decision to close. Read More

I noticed these flags underneath speed limit signs up and down Connecticut Ave. over the weekend.

A bit reminiscent of the good old (bad) days, when crossing the street for pedestrians was like a game of frogger. [It seems like a joke, but I swear to you this really was a thing. And it worked about as well as you might imagine.]

And yet there are those who still think this is the problem: Read More
