Update from DC Fire and EMS 5:05pm: “Update 2 Alarm Fire 1500 block Park Rd NW. #DCsBravest making good progress in attacking & extinguishing fire. 1 patient transported non life threatening injuries. No apparent extension to adjacent structures.”

From DC Fire and EMS:

“2 Alarm fire now 1500 block Park Rd NW. Fire involves top floor and attic of large 3 story institutional building. #DCsBravest have rescued several occupants. 20 units & approx 100 personnel on scene or enroute.”

“These three spots are now being ticketed everyday”

“Dear PoPville,

There’s a new(ish) last week or so no parking zone on 17th between S and R that appears to have been changed from zone 2 parking in the past week or so.

It’s especially confusing as when they redid the street 3 months ago they eliminated roughly 15% of the parking but clearly painted boxes for where cars are allowed. (more…)

“woken up in my sleep by a man grouping me and hanging over my bed”

“Dear PoPville,

On late Friday night/Saturday morning at 3:15 am (March 26th), I was woken up in my sleep by a man grouping me and hanging over my bed. I was able to chase him out the back door. He decided to pick the lock at our back door, walk up the stairs, and enter my bedroom. He walked past my dresser with valuables that could have easily stolen and when I woke up, he began to apologize and ran. (more…)
