“woken up in my sleep by a man grouping me and hanging over my bed”

“Dear PoPville,

On late Friday night/Saturday morning at 3:15 am (March 26th), I was woken up in my sleep by a man grouping me and hanging over my bed. I was able to chase him out the back door. He decided to pick the lock at our back door, walk up the stairs, and enter my bedroom. He walked past my dresser with valuables that could have easily stolen and when I woke up, he began to apologize and ran.

He was a white man, around 6 feet tall, wearing a dark colored hat, and dressed in all black. Since my bedroom windows look out on U Street, we can’t help but assume that he had been watching me and that this was a planned attack.

If you could please ask the community if they have any security footage or if anything similar has happened to them, that would be appreciated. The police were contacted that night.”

Fox5 reported this occurred along the U Street corridor: “Metropolitan police are investigating this incident. A police report indicates they’re investigating it as a sexual assault and burglary.”

If anyone has any information or video from the 1700 block of U Street, NW please contact MPD.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
