“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Saturday, October 2, 2021, in the 1300 block of Half Street, Southwest.

At approximately 11:08 pm, members of the First District responded to the listed location for the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, members located two adult males and an adult female suffering from gunshot wounds. (more…)

“On 7/18/21 at approximately 11:50pm, MPD units were at New Jersey Ave SE & M Street SE when they observed a vehicle that had recently been taken in an armed carjacking in PG County, MD. The carjacked vehicle was a Nissan Pathfinder with Maryland tags. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, it led them on a brief pursuit, ending on M Street SW, near the District Wharf.
