“On 7/18/21 at approximately 11:50pm, MPD units were at New Jersey Ave SE & M Street SE when they observed a vehicle that had recently been taken in an armed carjacking in PG County, MD. The carjacked vehicle was a Nissan Pathfinder with Maryland tags. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, it led them on a brief pursuit, ending on M Street SW, near the District Wharf. Last we learned that Blue Bottle had permanently closed their P Street/Logan Circle location. Thanks to Alex for passing on the response he got from Blue Bottle about their Wharf location:

“Hey there, thanks so much for checking in. In our efforts to meet our guests where they are, we have closed this cafe and reassigned the team to higher-traffic locations. We hope to see you at one of our nearby locations!”

Blue Bottle opened their Wharf location in 2018.
