Welp that’s a bummer (for many.) Back in September Amsterdam Falafel confirmed they were looking to open up another location on M Street. Sadly that deal never worked out (which I’ve confirmed with Amsterdam Falafel this morning.) The OT (original tipster) who correctly shared that Amsterdam Falafel was looking here now hears that an Indian restaurant has signed a 15 year lease. Stay tuned.

This rental is located in Dupont Circle. The listing says:
“Recently renovated basement property located in Dupont. All new high end appliances. Located 2 blocks away from the Metro. Comes unfurnished.
Lease begins November 1st. Can be prorated for a later move in November.”

You can see more photos here.
This 1 bed/1 bath is going for $2,200/Mo.

From MPD:
“Every day the Metropolitan Police Department works to recover and investigate illegal firearms in Washington D.C. From the evening of October 28, 2016, through the morning of October 31, 2016, MPD detectives and officers recovered 24 illegal firearms.
Among the firearms recovered this weekend were:
· On Friday, October 28, 2016, a black Semi-Automatic Glock 30, 45 ACP Handgun was recovered and linked to the following arrest:
o On Friday, October 28, 2016, 22-year-old Mark Greene, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Possession of Unregistered Ammunition offense that occurred in the 3600 block of Brothers Place, Southeast. CCN: 16-183-797

A reader reports:
“Saw 3 bashed rats laid out at entrance to Dupont Circle early this morn. Then see the culprit w/ a large stick hunting more rats. with like a 4 x 4 stealthily creeping around clearly hunting for more. I gtfo of there…because creepy.”
Creepy indeed, tell me somebody else saw this?!?!

This rental is located at 17th and Corcoran St, NW. The listing says:
“This is a rare opportunity to rent a beautiful two-level apartment at the intersection of 17th and Corcoran. The apartment is one of three units in a late-19th century row house located on 17th Street (it’s the red brick building that has Prego Again on the ground floor).
The unit is on the top two floors of the building and gets ample light from three skylights and multiple large windows. The kitchen has granite countertops and plenty of cabinet space. Central A/C, hardwood floors, and lots of character, including two alcoves upstairs.
The location is perfect. Safeway is across the street and all of the restaurants and bars on 17th Street are at your doorstep. Whole Foods is a 5 minute walk, Trader Joe’s a 10 minute walk, and the Dupont metro is 5 minutes away.
Tenant pays for electric. Washer and dryer is shared by the other two tenants, but is free and always available. Unfortunately no pets are allowed. Roof is accessible from the bedroom.
Feel free to email with any questions or if you would like to schedule a viewing. Apartment available October 30.”

Ed. Note: Z Burger only opened their P Street location in April 2015. Updates when/if they reopen.
