A tipster sends word that Arqa Lebanese Fusion Restaurant and Bar has either opened or will open shortly in the (former) Bistro Bistro space.

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in reference to an Unarmed Bank Robbery that occurred on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, in the 1700 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest.

At approximately 5:03 pm, the suspect entered a bank at the listed location. Once inside, the suspect approached the teller and presented a note demanding US currency. The teller gave the suspect an undetermined amount of US currency. The suspect then fled the scene. (more…)

“Big police presence this afternoon (think it happened maybe around 330). I was next door and saw the flashing lights outside on Connecticut Ave. They were interviewing witnesses and taped off the sidewalk.”
