“Dear PoPville,

I’m from farther north on the east coast, and chicken salad has always been its own food group for me. Since moving to DC four years ago, I haven’t been able to find good chicken salad. I feel like I’ve tried everywhere. Can we crowd source some really good options?”

“Dear PoPville,

I was parallel parking on Swann Street, NW last Friday, 9/24 around 6 pm. You saw me struggling to parallel park my car and offered to park it for me. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,

My local CVS (H street ne) is out of control busy. Ive gotten into the habit of calling and asking for a rush every time I have a scrips to pick up. Yesterday I waited for over an hour and no one picked up. The in person wait was also almost an hour and left empty handed.

Is this everywhere? This morning I came back to finally get my script and asked the tech if there’s a less busy location, she rolled her eyes and laughed saying H street is one of the best.

Should I try a mom and pop pharmacist? Should I give up and try to order my meds online?”

“Dear PoPville,

I have a question regarding turning left if you are in the intersection when the light is green, but you are unable to turn until the light turns red.

This afternoon, I was turning left onto West Virginia Avenue NE from Mt. Olivet Rd. NE when the light turned red before I was able to complete the turn. I initially entered the intersection when the light was green, as many people do, waiting for oncoming traffic to pass and to allow those behind me to continue going straight. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,

I was at the E St. NW Starbucks on Sunday, October 3rd and you were the really tall guy right behind me in line. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,

I was stalked on Saturday evening at about 10 P.M. from 13th and U st all the way to the intersection of Vermont Avenue and T street. I was walking by myself and immediately noticed this individual because they were loitering outside of Ben’s Chili Bowl staring at individuals and they were not homeless or inebriated. They were also wearing racquetball glasses which immediately struck me as odd (see attached above). I was walking to a friend’s house, (more…)

“Dear PoPville,

I’ve been in DC for about a decade and moved into a studio condo in Adams Morgan 4 years ago. Since then I’ve been living with a fire hazard. An iron gate that covers my sliding glass door with a keyed deadbolt on both sides. I need to get this thing changed to not need a key when exiting but I need something like a tunnel around the lock to prevent someone from simply reaching through the bars and unlocking it. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,

Noticed yesterday that -without notifying riders- Lime has created and implemented new “off-limit” maps/zones throughout DC that make it nearly impossible to navigate safely through the city.

As an example… I live near 15th and S St NW. I am currently on Grand Jury duty so I used to ride Lime scooters via protected bike lanes on 15th street, then on protected bike lanes on Pennsylvania Avenue to the courthouse (at PA Ave and 3rd St NW). Yesterday when I arrived near Pennsylvania, all of a sudden my scooter just stopped! (more…)

“Dear PoPville,

I was standing (Saturday at like 11:15am) at the corner of Calvert and Biltmore in Adams Morgan near the bridge wearing a light blue dress waiting to pile in my friends black car to go to the Renaissance fair. (more…)
