“Silver Diner has just signed a lease for its first Silver Diner restaurant in Washington, D.C. While the company operates a restaurant in Northwest, Washington–Silver, American Brasserie, it has never had a Silver Diner in D.C. “H Street’s Swiss escape, Stable, is celebrating its 4th anniversary on April 4th, which also falls on Easter Sunday this year, with four special carry out packages available beginning April 1. Over the past three years, owners Silvan Kraemer and David Fritsche have marked the occasion with a reception-style party at their H street home, but like much of their operation over the past several months, they have customized the celebration to be enjoyed at home. The anniversary offerings will not only feature favorites from the menu, but also special touches including sparking wine for toasting, fresh flowers, Stable merchandise, and even gift cards. “On the heels of a successful launch into the market earlier this month [Ed. Note: in Georgetown Wisconsin and N Street, NW], Foxtrot is opening its second location in Washington, DC in the Mount Vernon Triangle neighborhood at 650 Massachusetts Ave. NW.

Foxtrot’s shelves are stocked with items by some of the DC region’s favorite brands and artisans, including prepared meals by local chef Erik Bruner Yang and goods from beloved brands like Gordy’s Pickles, Veggie Confetti, Mason Dixie and Pineapple Collaborative, to name a few. Foxtrot is also the newest neighborhood watering hole for coffee with friends, made with beans from local roaster Vigilante Coffee, or happy hour with coworkers which can be enjoyed on the store’s patio. Guests can pick out a bottle of wine from the over 200 bottles featured in store, all hand selected by Foxtrot’s sommelier Dylan Melvin, that range from everyday bottles (more than half are priced affordably at under $25) to special occasion and experimental wines.
