Last night Gloria writes us with the google notice below: “please confirm because I am devastated”

Now we’ve seen some google notices of permanent closures that haven’t been accurate so I wasn’t too worried straight away. Then I went to their website:

Then I called their phone number (202) 265-2828 and it says: “you have reached a number that is not currently set up, please try again later.”

Their social media feeds haven’t been updated since October/November.

So yes, now I’m definitely concerned.

“Local 16 is an American Restaurant located in Washington, DC. Local 16 was first known for its expansive roof deck which was unrivaled for many years. After 14 years, Local 16 maintains its reign in the local restaurant and bar scene as a neighborhood place that offers a fantastic happy hour & Live Music. Our menu now features some of Afghanistan’s most popular dishes inspired by Aman’s mother Benazhir and cooked by Aman himself. We specialize in Cocktails, Brunch, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Nightlife & more. We are the perfect spot for almost any occasion: a Family Restaurant, a Brunch Restaurant, a Breakfast Restaurant, a Nightclub…Local 16 is all these things.”

I’ve emailed the owner for comment and will/update post if/when I hear back.

STAY TUNED and keep your fingers crossed for good news.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
