“Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department’s New H Street Bike Unit arrested a man for stealing multiple packages on Saturday, September 16, 2023, in the 600 block of G Street, Northeast.

At approximately 2:17 p.m., officers of the First District’s new H Street Unit were actively patrolling the H Street corridor when they were flagged down for a theft in progress. Update from Chang Chang owner Lydia Chang: “I have personally contacted both Tock and the guest to expedite the return of the deposit, as well as offered the guest a gift card to make up for their frustrating experience.”

“Dear PoPville,

I made a reservation at Chang Chang for six through Tock, which charged me $25/person plus a $5.00 fee. The email confirmation said my deposit would be refunded upon arrival at the restaurant. That didn’t happen, even though my entire party showed up on time and ordered a feast of quite tasty food and drinks.
