So what’s the verdict on their other location? I love the concept, but everyone I’ve heard from comes away disappointed.

I went once and they said they were out of fish. I looked at them waiting to say they were joking, but it never happened. I haven’t been back since.

you know how sushi is like, really tasty when well balanced and easy to eat? burredo is kind of the opposite. not bad by any means, but a mouth full of kinda chewy salmon and rice isn’t exactly as pleasant when you gotta bite it off in huge chunks, rather than small bites.

        • Yeah, a burrito-sized sushi roll sounds appalling. At best, you’d get way more of the filler and way less of the good stuff.

          • Portioning was surprisingly done well, but I was underwhelmed. Too small; flavors were an odd mix; rolled sloppily, so sauce went everywhere.
No idea why my friends like it so much.

    • count me as one who loves this place. I”ve had the “Beatrix” about 3 times. Messy, yes, but just grab a fork for the bits that fall out.

Waited in line for over an hour to get in. Worth the wait, even in my hunger induced confusion I ordered the wrong thing and realized it as they were building my meal. The crew was ready to make me a new one despite the line, but I declined. Anyway, my burrado was pretty tasty, good balance of crunch and fish. Could use more sauce. I don’t think I’d wait that long in line if I were paying, but worth a visit on off times.

I don’t get all these complaints about messiness. We are fu*king adults. Bite with your teeth, not your lips people. I have been three times and all of the buredos I got were tasty and not a single piece fell. Is this top grade sushi you would find at Sushi Taro? No. It is an $11 giant maki roll basically. I am not known for a stomach of steel and I never had any issues with low quality food at all. My only complaint is lack of seating in their downtown location. Here’s hoping Dupont will be larger.
