“Multiple, rapid fire and detectives on the scene. Police keep arriving. It’s bad. Ambulance arrived 11.20, helicopter right after. Shots fired 11:07 cops arrives less than three minutes later.”

From MPD:

“We are currently working a shooting in the 1300 block of Riggs Rd NW. Please avoid the area as traffic will be impacted.

Anyone with information is asked to call 202-727-9099.”

“The Third District is currently working a shooting in the 1300 block of Columbia Road NW. Officers and Detectives are currently on scene. Please avoid this area and expect road closures in the area. Anyone with information is asked to call 202-727-9099.”

“At approximately 8:05pm tonight, Third District units responded to the 1200 block of T Street NW in reference to an armed robbery. Officers quickly responded to the area and with the assistance of multiple witnesses, they were able to locate 2 suspects who were arrested after further investigation. A weapon was recovered, along with the property of the victims. This was an excellent example of the community and the officers working together to apprehend 2 violent individuals. Thank you and be safe.”

Constellation Theatre, “A must see destination,” according to the Washington Post, will be hosting a Pony Pop Up this Sunday, January 17.

The Pony Pop Up, happening on the sidewalk in front of the building [1835 14th Street, NW], will take place between 12pm and 3pm, where passersby will get a chance to pet and feed a pony and a miniature horse. The event is presented in partnership with Peppermint Pony and is a promotional event for Constellation Theatre’s upcoming performance of the play, Equus, running January 13 to February 14th at SOURCE (tickets available for $20-$45 at http://www.constellationtheatre.org/equus.html). “Just got an email from Groupon that my voucher to Bistro La Bonne (the re-opened one on 14th and Chapin), which was set to expire in April, is only valid through the 19th of this month, at which point the business is closing. Their website and facebook don’t say anything about a closing.”
