Sundevich opened up here in Shaw back in 2011.
Thanks to Kristin for sending this super sad sight yesterday:
“Last Christmas tree on the last day of Sundevich Shaw 😞” (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
I was going past the White House to see the cherry blossoms on Friday and I saw one tourist after another asking Secret Service and cops where they could get a good view of the White House. Nobody would give them an honest answer — they couldn’t. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
I don’t have a dog in this fight except being a 100% supporter of the democratic process. But someone tore down a lot of McDuffie signs (Saturday) and put them in the trash at Eastern Market and that, I cannot abide.”

“Dear PoPville (and DDOT),
I’ve lived here a very long time and I still don’t know what this means. When does “24 hours” start and end? Noon to noon? 24 hours on both days? I think an entire metro area of millions would like to know.”

Other readers reported yesterday: “All the benches were removed from Logan Circle this morning. Any idea why they took them?” (more…)

National Mall NPS

“Repairs are underway on a sinkhole under the National Mall turf panels between 12th and 14th streets. This is just one of many projects going on to make #WashingtonDC safe & beautiful in the buildup to the 250th anniversary of American Independence in July. #Freedom250″

Thanks to M.V. Jantzen for sending this “misspelled NPS sign at the Lincoln Memorial, on the southeast area of the circle. Seriously, how does this happen?
And what’s crazy is I’m pretty sure they’re trying to point to the MLK restroom/shop. The arrow isn’t even pointing in the right direction. (more…)

2023 K Street, NW
