Real Estate Fresh Finds is a weekly selection of newly-listed properties in the District, brought to you by Real Living At Home.

We keep hearing people complaining about a lack of housing inventory, but for at least the 4th Fresh Finds in a row, there are over 240+ listings to hit the market in DC this week. And don’t worry, it’s not just $700k+ row houses. Take a look below:

  • The Most Expensive Home of the Week is a near $9Mil 6k square foot 4 bed/6 bath/1 sauna/1 gym penthouse overlooking the Georgetown Waterfront with an “additional 3,500 sq. ft. of outdoor terraces with pool directly overlooking Potomac River.”
  • “Completely renovated 3 bed/2.5 bath end-unit row home with designer finishes” just blocks away from Union Station.
  • One half of a double Petworth row home lists it as 3-bedroom on 4 levels, but with a lack of information on the listing, one would assume the 2nd upper level is just an attic or else they would have mentioned it.
  • Your Cheapest Home of the Week is (surprisingly) a studio in Dupont for $175k, but buyers interested beware: the listing only shows community photos so the inside can’t be very appealing.
  • “No detail overlooked in the creation of this exquisite home” in the Palisades, featuring 5 bedrooms across 4 levels and nearly 5k finished square feet.

It’s another week with over 240 new listings to hit the market, which means if you can’t find your new dream home, you might not be looking hard enough. Or you need a new agent. Whichever it is, take a look at our suggested Fresh Finds and maybe you’ll end that dry spell.

  • Your Most Expensive Home of the Week is a 7,500 square foot manor in Massachusetts Avenue Heights listed at $5.74Mil with 5 bedrooms, 8.5 bathrooms and a secluded backyard pool and patio.
  • This 4-bedroom Petworth row home with a floor plan that’s a bit more conventional than the open ones we see nowadays.
  • Two opposing price points, but our Worst Photos of the Week is a tie between this $89k condo in SE that clearly has no electricity and this $1.1Mil blurry home that includes an elderly walker in the basement.
  • A spacious 2 bed/2 bath unit just a short walk away from the Mt. Vernon Square/Convention Center Metro Station.
  • This studio in Foggy Bottom might not have a ton of square footage, but for $220k, this condo is your Cheapest Home of the Week.

Out of the 240 new listings in the district, almost half of them are condos.

So if you’re in the market for easy living that only requires you to deal with the issues within your own walls, this is a good week to get looking. We found some intriguing condos and more with our Fresh Finds below:

With 266 new listings in the past week, there’s bound to be one that lines up with what you’re looking for in your next home. Check out some of our suggested Fresh Finds below and find your new place before the market gets too overwhelming.

  • For $6.5mil, your Most Expensive Home of the Week is this 4,600 sq. ft. 3 bed, 3.5 bath condo “offered fully-furnished and accessorized,” meaning all that abstract art and sculptures could be yours in the “newly renovated luxury condominiums” of Ward Tower.
  • A fully-updated 5 bedroom Tudor in Brightwood has a “$100k gourmet chef’s kitchen” and is equipped with smart home tech. and separate theater room with a 120″ screen.
  • This 4 bedroom Petworth row home technically lists yesterday as the offer due date, but if this is one you’re really digging, I bet the client would be cool with even more offers.
  • One bed, one bath unit in a “DC Best Address” condominium building, the Kenesaw.
  • Your Foreclosure of the Week is an “Industrial CHIC LOFT! 2-Level Penthouse Condo,” but only shows one picture, so you’ll have to go check this one out to see if the $600k price tag is a deal or not.

The weather in the district has been just as up and down as the housing inventory the past few weeks. There’s close to 300 new listings to hit the market within the past week, meaning we’re back on the upswing and the 80 degree weekend weather seems to agree. Here’s some of our suggested (and hot) Fresh Finds below:

  • At a soaring $11.2mil, your Most Expensive Home of the Week is this monstrous French Normandy style and 43,000+ sq. ft. land that includes 2 “adjacent, buildable lots,” but that price doesn’t even begin to cover the cost of the proposed mansion renderings.
  • Two bedroom/2 bathroom “Recently renovated and updated, rowhouse-style living with the price and convenience of a condo” just 2 blocks from U Street Metro.
  • Petworth condo with 2 beds and 1 bath for only $230k is your REO/Bank-Owned Property of the Week.
  • The Worst Photos of the Week go to this $2.3mil Ledroit Park listing that only has 4 photos — all of them blurry exterior shots — 1 of which is a black and white that I assume was taken in 1880 when it was first built.
  • A 1 bedroom “tastefully updated condo” less than a block away from Potomac Avenue Metro Station.

With almost 100 less listings than last week, this week’s new listing count is only 162. The demand for homes is there, so if you’re in the market for a new home, you better get out there and start looking before there’s none left. Check out some of our suggested Fresh Finds below:

Your Foreclosure of the Week is a 3 bedroom single-family home in Deanwood that appears a new construction will be more successful than any amount of renovation.

We’ve heard some agents say there’s a lack of inventory right now on the market, but just within the past seven days, there’s been 240+ homes to hit the market just in DC alone. So check out some of our suggested Fresh Finds below:

  • You know when it lists a “full floor ballroom” or “2 bedroom staff apartment” as features, this one is clearly going to be your Most Expensive Home of the Week at $8.15mil.
  • Not only does this epic Victorian row home have 6 bedrooms, spanning across 4 levels and 2,700+ square feet, but it also has an in-home art show occurring this Saturday, March 10th, from 3-7PM.
  • The listing is sold in ‘As Is’ condition for this “Great Opportunity to Continue and Complete Renovation on Traditional Petworth Row,” even though the 2 photos show very little renovation occurred in the first place.
  • A Mount Pleasant 2 bedroom condo that’s been updated and refreshed throughout the entire home.
  • It’s a small 1 bedroom condo, but it also appears in great condition and has everything you could possibly need (except decently sized storage space) for the REO/Bank Owned Property of the Week.
