At approximately 10:07 pm, Third District officers responded to the listed location for the report of a person struck by a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. (more…)

What’s happening to Meridian Hill/Malcolm X Park? This beautiful and unique urban park has been largely closed for over a year. While the National park service is having repairs done to the lower plaza, the rest of the park is open but severely neglected. Walkways are crumbling, weeds are growing out of control. The fountain is again turned off and getting overgrown.”

The cars on the left are legally parked in back-in spots per the sidewalk signs but directly across the bike lane are new legal parallel parking spots. I have no idea how the cars on the left are going to get out. 15th and Chapin st entrance of the park.”

One adult male was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The public is safe. Anyone with Information can call 202-727-9099 or contact US Park Police.”
