“Dear PoPville,
The park service empties the upper level trash cans regularly but not the lower level. The 16th St side of the grounds need all the trash picked up badly. It’s beginning to look like a dump area.”

“The National Park Service is seeking funding for the repairs to the cascading fountain at Meridian Hill Park. Work needed to be completed before the fountain can operate includes additional rehabilitation of deteriorated concrete and replacement of the variable frequency drive water pump.”

I was walking in Meridian Hill/Malcolm X Park last Monday (3/18) and I noticed this line of trash and sticks on the upper level towards the Joan of Arc statue on the 15th St. side. I was also at the park that weekend and didn’t see it then, but I think I have seen something similar there in the past. Does anyone know what it is?”
