“Dear PoPville,

Can you help me find this Good Samaritan? I lost my keys Saturday and spent at least 30 minutes desperately stressing out: retracing my steps over and over, crawling in the grass wherever I could have dropped them, coming up with any and every contingency plans i could. Truly devastated and frustrated at myself for this oversight. And then, I look into my car (which was mercifully still placed where I parked it a few hours prior). There, on the passenger seat, is a doggy bag with my keys inside. I can’t tell you how much my mind is blown and my heart warmed by this astounding act of thoughtfulness and kindness. I would love thank this amazingly thoughtful and kind stranger for this blessing!”

“Dear PoPville,

I hope you can help me track down some amazing Good Samaritans to whom I will be forever indebted. On Tuesday evening (6/14), my husband was biking up sixteenth street when he went into sudden cardiac arrest. According to my husband’s doctors, had they not been there and acted as quickly as they did, my husband would not have survived. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,

While out taking photos of my roommates dog at the tulips near the National mall, I misplaced my wallet. I went back a day later to look for it, hoping maybe no one had seen it yet, but it was no where to be found. Today, after being in the office all day, my first item of business was to cancel all my cards, but I found an envelope with no return address at my front door containing my wallet and a nice note. “Dear PoPville,

Trying to find someone… was hit by a car (while walking) in the crosswalk of Columbia and Harvard st. at around 7:15pm last night. There was a woman who I THINK was named Peggy who was an absolute angel from the moment I hit the ground to getting inside an ambulance. I would love to be able to thank her properly!!!”

If you are or know Peggy please have her email me at [email protected] so I can put her in touch with OP. Thank you.
