“Dear PoPville,
I’m off of 14th street. The city is doing the same thing they did for the memorial parade in my neighborhood. No parking signs went up overnight, all the cars have been ticketed, and tow trucks are going up and down the street. Can you tweet/post whatever to give people a heads up so they can get to their cars before towing? I’m on R street but I’d say people should look to see if they’re safe anywhere off 14th for the whole length of the parade. To be clear this is on streets perpendicular to the parade route. The parade route was properly noticed through the week. This is the streets coming off of the route.”

“Slice & Pie, named the country’s #2 slice shop by Italian organization 50TopPizza, will open a second location in Union Market this summer. The DC-based business from master pizzaiolo Giulio Adriani will begin serving NY and Detroit-style slices for takeout and delivery from a stall in The Market, Union Market District’s food market occupied by 40+ independent merchants. Slice & Pie’s new location will share their space with Taste of Lucy, a bite-sized version of Adriani’s Italian cocktail bar Lucy (which also shares an address with Slice & Pie’s original location). Taste of Lucy will serve highlights of the original location’s menu including Neapolitan pizzas, a rotating pasta option, and select appetizers. An edited selection of Lucy’s cocktail menu, featuring about five cocktails and four to six wines by the glass will also be available, and the new location will offer a Happy Hour menu daily from 5pm until 7pm. “Dear PoPville,
Passed by what appears to be Stanley cup on display on Wolfe Street in Old Town Alexandria.
Any idea if this is actually the Stanley Cup and why it’s here?”

“Dear PoPville,
What’s the process for renewing streatery licenses or permits? I generally LOVE them but the one in front of my building is for a dinner-only place that is barely occupied for dinner and occupied by non-diners during the day. It’s never cleaned and just adds to the rat problem. I’d like to get involved when they’re up for renewal.”
