“The District’s reported data for Thursday, November 5, 2020 includes 110 new positive coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, bringing the District’s overall positive case total to 17,792.

The District reported two additional COVID-19 related deaths.

· 67-year-old female
· 87-year-old male

Tragically, 652 District residents have lost their lives due to COVID-19.

DC Government

From yesterday’s situational update: “If you are visitor to DC for more than three days, get tested within 3-5 days of arrival.”

From the Mayor’s Office:

“Today, Mayor Muriel Bowser issued Mayor’s Order 2020-110, which modifies the requirements for visitors coming into Washington, DC and District residents returning to DC from any state or country that is not considered “low-risk.” The new requirements require visitors and residents to use testing, in conjunction with other strategies for stopping the spread of COVID-19, to understand their potential exposure. Washington, DC has a robust public testing infrastructure that residents, visitors, and workers can use to get tested. (more…)

From the Smithsonian’s National Zoo:

“He barked at the sound of our laughter, then promptly fell asleep. He weighed 8.4 pounds (3.84 kilograms)–nearly a pound more than last week. From the tip of his nose to the base of his tail, he measured 20.4 inches long (52 centimeters). His abdominal girth measured 18.5 inches, up from 17 inches last week. His tail, which was a quarter of his body length at birth, is 2.3 inches long (6 centimeters), or one-eighth his body length.”

“GEORGETOWN MANHUNT— 3200 blk Water St NW-DC (3200 blk K St NW, et al). A wanted man has fled from the police. He is on foot, possibly armed and hiding in the neighborhood. He is wanted for armed robbery among other charges.”
