Last week we happily learned that Bruno was home. I promised to share more details as I learned them – and here’s word from Bruno’s humans:

“We want to say thank the PoPville community for helping us find our Bruno. It was actually your help that brought us together. A nice family who we appreciate took care of Bruno until someone came along and saw the post from PoPville. Your help made our 2020 much better.”

Ed. Note: You guys rule, the reunion happened because of you, the community.

In theory these bubbles would be great if the party at the table is an immediate household, but that’s more the exception than the rule as far as what I am seeing people do here in DC. (more…)

Events

Thanks to Denis for sending:

“Beaujolais Nouveau is usually a huge worldwide event, with millions celebrating all over the world. Last year, we had close to 800 people at the French Embassy. French restaurants celebrate it too, but we have by far the largest and most entertaining Beaujolais Nouveau event.

Obviously, we cannot do it this way this year, so we’re doing it online (November 21st). There will be French music, a virtual wine tasting, a food tasting and cooking demo by a French Chef, a wine trivia game and the event will finish with a DJ. (more…)
