Almost daily the neighborhood listserv are filled with almost the same messages about “duct cleaning” group rates. These are email addresses that get on local listservs and then email about some group rate. By now we all know it’s fake, but is this a city-wide scam?
This space that I’m pretty sure is just owned by DC. I had hired contractors removing all the leaves. So it’s been cleared even though it’s under a huge tree. Well, this lady came by with massive bags of leaves and just dumped them all and spread them around. (more…)
To celebrate DC native Haili Blassingame’s debut novel, THEY ALL FALL IN LOVE AT THE END, Lost City Books is throwing a launch party themed around messy love stories. Haili, and a crew of writers she has assembled, will read excerpts from their work, but there will also be audience participation in the form of anonymously submitting messy dating stories.
