poodle

“Dear PoPville,

We found this lovely poodle this morning near Sherman Circle in Petworth. She’s wearing a green collar with no tags. Very friendly and sweet. I am dropping her off at the Humane Society on New York Avenue where I hope her owners will find her. Please share to help her get home as she is obviously well loved.”

“This new site is located on a triangular parcel of land that is adjacent to the Frank R. Williams Building and the Takoma Aquatic Center building”

“Dear PoPville,

The Northern Ward 4 Dog Park Group’s dog park application resubmission was noticed in the D.C. register on February 24th and D.C. Department of Parks and Recreation is now accepting public comments until March 27th.  D.C. residents can write in to DPR at [email protected] and provide an official comment on the dog park application.  This has been an ongoing saga but we’re optimistic that our new location will get approved as we worked closely with DPR as well as dog park proponents and opponents to select this new site.”

Charlie

“Dear PoPville,

My husband and I were running with our dog past Big Bear around 8:30am this morning (Sunday) when two dogs – they looked like young-ish vizslas – who were tied up outside Big Bear jumped into our path and one bit our dog Charlie. We managed to get between them and break it up before anything too serious happened. The owners came outside and we let them know what had happened but in the panic we left without getting their name or contact information (stupid mistake, I know!) By the time we got our dog home we realized that his back leg was bleeding quite badly. We’ve been to the animal hospital etc. but for peace of mind and after-care we want to see if we can find the owners to make sure their dogs are fully vaccinated.”

If you are or know the owners please email me at [email protected] and I’ll connect you to OP. Thanks.

pups

“We found these two dogs roaming around the Columbia Heights/Petworth area this morning around 10am (originally spotted on Lamont). We called animal control, but they seem friendly and have collars (no tags), so figured an owner may be worried and looking for them!”

If anyone recognizes them, email [email protected] and I’ll put you in touch with OP. Thanks.
