“Dear PoPville,
I’ve lived in the Dupont Circle area for a few years an recently relocated to near the dog park on New Hampshire. In the past month there’s been a man who screams, yells, sings, slams objects outside at all hours of the day continuing for hours at a time. Some of the time he’s yelling pretty obscene stuff (I’m writing this at 3:30 AM and it’s been full-fledged for eight hours ). Maybe other neighbors feel the same, but I’m nervous to launch a noise complaint as he seems very agitated and I’m not sure how MPD would handle this. He seems like he’s in need of some urgent mental health or substance abuse care. (more…)

For the past nine months, our goal has been to hang on until next spring. The return of conferences, sports and tourists, along with promising news on vaccines, gave us hope.
But like so many other DC restaurants, we’re a bit worried. Recent spikes have impacted on-premise dining; cold weather is hampering outdoor dining; some of our local customers have temporarily relocated; or in some cases, just aren’t aware that we’re open.
We are lucky, we have very understanding landlords, they want to see us hang on…and that makes us want to keep going. For them, for our customers, for our staff and for us…we’ve given all we’ve had.
