“Dear PoPville,
I’ve lived in the Dupont Circle area for a few years an recently relocated to near the dog park on New Hampshire. In the past month there’s been a man who screams, yells, sings, slams objects outside at all hours of the day continuing for hours at a time. Some of the time he’s yelling pretty obscene stuff (I’m writing this at 3:30 AM and it’s been full-fledged for eight hours ). Maybe other neighbors feel the same, but I’m nervous to launch a noise complaint as he seems very agitated and I’m not sure how MPD would handle this. He seems like he’s in need of some urgent mental health or substance abuse care.
Writing in to see if anyone knows if people have tried to get him help? Or have any suggestions with how to get him help without filing a complaint with MPD? Or is this a normal occurrence that I just missed living a few blocks away?”
