1541 7th Street, NW

Ed. Note: Back in March 2016 this space was slated to become Yard & Toast. A commenter noted: “I saw a pop up NYE event there under the name “Play Lounge”

Update from MPD:

“MPD was advised that ABRA issued a 4 day temporary license to operate at 1541 7th Street NW from 12-31-18 to 01-3-19 (for the hours of 6pm to 4am).

As for the loud explosion (Ed. Note: see comments), we have received 1 call to 911 last night regarding this. Since then, members of the community have forwarded us some videos of the incident and it appears to have likely been an M80 firework. However, at this time, we are unable to identify any individuals in any of the videos. If anyone has any additional videos of value, please send them to the 3D Commander at [email protected].”

Thanks to Rachel and Debra for sending:
