On Tuesday we broke the news that Cleveland Park Bar & Grill will be closing their original location BUT will be moving just down the block to share space with Fat Pete’s BBQ.

JUST IN and BREAKING: Downtown Not Dead: Mikey and Mel’s Deli Opened! L Street Resuscitated. Bagels! Pickles!! Pastrami!!!

My goodness and praise be!!

Thanks to Amy and Ibad for sending: “Mikey & Mel’s is FINALLY open!!”

Amy writes: “Stopped by today to dine in with coworkers and the staff were great, but had to tell folks it was a 30-45 minute wait for the food, which grew to an hour plus as we were getting ready to leave. Their ordering kiosks are convenient but take a bit of time because they have a TON of options. While we waited for our food, I went to the pickle bar and got a mix of dill, half sour and full sour.
