Basically it was pouring rain outside and masses of people were entering the station for the Nats and DC United game. People wanted to take shelter so they stayed in the station. The police officer kept telling the crowd to disperse and make entrance and exit accessible. (more…)

I’ve been meeting to write in about this for a few weeks but finally got around to it after seeing the Kelvin post. Placement of this sign on M St. & South Capitol St. SE for the new Envy condo building made me snort-laugh walking home from work the other day–it’s right next to a Catholic church. Maybe the developer was thinking that once residents buy into “a lifestyle to covet” (their language, not mine) they’ll hit up Saint Vincent De Paul to repent? I get that they’re trying to play off the N St. address, but seriously… smh.”
Ed. Note: What’s your favorite condo/building name? Mine is still the Dudington in Adams Morgan/Lanier Heights.
There is not one but two Fahrenheit buildings, one of course is located next door to the Celsius building. I always wondered when a Kelvin would come. If you will it, it truly is no dream. (more…)

Speaking of fireworks, I always get lots of queries about this one as it’s starting. Good reminder from the Nationals:
“Since Nationals Park opened its gates in 2008, July 3rd fireworks have become a tradition here in the team’s Navy Yard home. Fans are invited to stay after the 6:05 p.m. game to enjoy this year’s edition of the Freedom Fireworks show!”
