Last week we shared the news that Logan Tavern was Still Closed. “Temporarily” or Temporarily?
Thanks to Fred for sending: “Taken this morning about 9 a.m., Logan Tavern stuff (tables and chairs, open wine bottles, what looked like some kitchen gear) being loaded into a U-Haul parked out front.”
Looking more and more like this is the end.

Update from Rich over the weekend: “saw a bunch of equipment on the floor, bins of electronics for payment processing and part of the bar seemed missing.”
Ed. Note: Long time Logan Circle P Street hotspot, Commissary, closed up the block in July 2024. Logan Tavern’s website remains live as does their IG though their IG has not been updated since August 13th.

Barcelona Wine Bar opened here almost exactly 12 years ago to the day back in October 2013.
Flashback, August 2015 “I was at Barcelona on 14th last night when some guy in a ski mask ran in with a knife. He got laid out by a bartender.”

Please frequently visit Logan Circle and let dogs off leash. But since the national guard showed up, everyone has been very apprehensive about allowing your dog off leash given national parks’ rules, which govern and dictate that dogs must be on leash (see picture). I approached six national guard today and they could confirm that the scope of their mission does NOT include the patrolling dogs on or off leash.“

14th St Cafe Asian Bistro opened up here at 14th and P Street, NW back in 2015. Previously the space was the longtime home to Carry Out Deli which closed in January 2015.
