Logan Circle

“Reflecting Pool Redux: Logan Circle Edition – already browning in neat rectangles…”

“Dear PoPville,

A quick dispatch from Logan Circle, where the long-awaited park renovation has entered a delicate new phase. As you know, the new sod went down after months of construction and enough snow fencing to contain a small music festival — then got a ribbon cutting that left roughly 90% of the park fenced off. And it’s already browning in neat rectangles, each roll outlined like a grid on a spreadsheet nobody wants to open.

General Logan continues to sit on his horse and refuse to comment.

It may bounce back with water, which raises the question of whose job that is — Interior, Park Service, or whoever holds the contract.

Worth noting that if a neighbor had scorched this much public grass, we’d have a police report, a fine, and a laminated sign about it by Friday. Since it happened behind the fencing meant to protect the grass, I assume the case will go unsolved.”
