“Tthe new Amazon Fresh grocery store in Washington, D.C. will open to the public on Thursday, July 22 at 7 a.m. The new Logan Circle store is the second Amazon Fresh store to open in the greater Washington, D.C. area and the first store in the region to use Just Walk Out technology, which offers customers the convenience of skipping the checkout line.

Our Just Walk Out technology enables customers to come into the store, grab what they want, and just walk out. Upon entering the store, all customers have to do is scan the QR code in their Amazon app. Customers can then put their phone away and shop like normal. Anything they take off the shelf is automatically added to their virtual cart, and anything they put back on the shelf comes out of their virtual cart.
