11th and O Street, NW back in 2010 from the PoPville archives

When I try to explain what certain street looks were like, it’s simply not possible to properly convey what once was. But this gives a taste. What a transformation at 11th and O Street, NW. While I was getting photos of the new Haitian spot coming this summer, this corner totally jumped out at me. I happened to pass a photo from our archives recently and it staggered me.

Whew. Earlier this morning we posted about the TOUS les JOURS bakery coming to Union Market. And now, BarredinDC peeped an IG post about Kneads Bakeshop coming to Logan Circle. BUT that’s not all, when you go to the Kneads’ website you see they are ALSO coming to Chevy Chase.

1802 14th Street, NW previously home to a Lou Lou Boutique

“Pitango Gelato, the authentic Italian gelateria and coffee shop with locations throughout the Washington, DC, region and Baltimore, is thrilled to officially announce the opening of a highly anticipated new shop along DC’s 14th Street corridor. The store, opening on February 27th at 1802 14th Street, NW, is Pitango’s eighth location. The new gelateria and coffee shop will serve freshly brewed coffee, Italian baked goods, and artisanal, hand-spun gelato made with high-quality, carefully curated ingredients. The 1,027-square-foot space, designed by EastWing Architects, will also offer indoor seating for up to 10 guests.
