“Dear Neighbors, Friends and Supporters of the Uptown:
Thank you again for all your support and enthusiasm for our idea to revive the Uptown as a center for arts, film and education.
As you know, last week we submitted our proposal and letter of intent to lease the property. The owners got back to us this week to say that while they are impressed with our efforts and appreciate our vision, they have entered into a letter of intent with an “arts/theater group” that they believe “will change the course of the Uptown and the neighborhood.” (more…)

On October 31st we shared the news that Buffalo & Bergen was coming to the old California Tortilla space. And I’ve been counting down the days ever since. I’m told that there is no hard opening date yet but will likely be Fall 2023.
