A jury has awarded a former employee of Chinatown’s Redline sports bar a total of $687,000 in damages after finding that she was the victim of discrimination.
Hardin said her termination was “part of a broader scheme of discriminatory exclusion perpetrated by Redline and Dadlani,” according to her lawsuit.“In pursuit of defendants’ vision of Redline as maintaining a white, homogeneous customer base, Redline and Dadlani implemented discriminatory policies that excluded African-Americans from working in visible positions and denied African-American customers equal access to the establishment.”

Looks like plans for a strip club, then cigar lounge have now become plans for The Liberator. A new liquor license placard posted out front says:

Doesn’t look like a bad happy hour.”

“Uberpool w/ Sarah Jan 3 around 2pm: My buddy and I shared a ride with ‘Sarah’ — she joined the ride in Shaw-area and my buddy and I got off first near Gallery Place. It was unfortunate, my buddy sat in between us yet I felt we still managed to steal conversation and glances around his big head (heart you, buddy). Telling was our longing stare into each other’s eyes as the car door was shut and uberpool car sped away. I should have been quicker and asked for her number, but no.”
