The event will take place all day (11am-2:30am) on Saturday, April 1 and will feature trinkets, posters, and popular food and drink specials from the bar known for its “No Politics, No Miller Lite” motto. Thanks to ps for sending: “Looks like Zoca on Capitol Hill is history. That was fast! Replacement looks like a hastily thrown together generic oyster and seafood place.”

Thanks to Frank for sending yesterday: “My favorite annual question. is Cap Lounge finally returning?! Lights on. Paper coming down?”

Matt writes: “Sadly… the dream is dead. The Conservative Partnership Institute (CPI) bought the Capitol Lounge.”

Thought there is an ounce of hope just in from another reader: “I’m told if they reopen it won’t be in that location anyway. Not quite dead yet.”

Stay tuned.

Capitol Lounge closed after 26 years back in September 2020.
