Thanks to all who messaged us last night: “homicide at Marie Reid Park. Looked like the crime happened on the soccer field steps.”

From MPD just before 9pm: “Shooting in the 2200 b/o 18th Street NW. Lookout for Suspect lookout is: B/M with several tattoos, chubby, around 190lbs, 6 ft tall, last seen wearing dark clothing with a tan camel colored bucket hat.”

Multiple Armed Robberies in Adams Morgan: “We were standing there helping [victims] call their banks and the same car pulled over AGAIN, and held up our group”

Wanted to let the community know about a string of robberies that happened last night in Adams Morgan. A group of us were walking up Columbia NW at 2am around Gelmarc towers and saw two guys who had just been held at gunpoint and had their phones and wallets stolen. We were standing there helping them call their banks and the same car pulled over AGAIN, and held up our group. (more…)

Good morning, this is to thank everyone that help me last night (Saturday), specially the homeless guy that sells the newspaper in front of Safeway, a crazy shoplifter was leaving and I was in his way, he punched, kicked and hit my head against the glass, I was bleeding but I manage to call 911. I wish I could thank each in person, Thank you.”
