“Glen’s Garden Market will open its second store on Saturday, December 5th in Shaw (1924 8th St NW) with a Grand Opening Party from 12PM-8PM. The all-local grocery store opened its first location in Dupont Circle on Earth Day, 2013. While a slightly smaller space, the Shaw location will provide nearly all of the same offerings as its sister store including groceries, fresh, local produce, a full-service deli and a craft beer and wine bar. “New cafe will be a communal eating space. Market and café will sell locally made beer and wine for on and off premise consumption. Total Occupancy Load is 86. Sidewalk Café with 51 seats.”

With hours listed as Sunday through and Saturday 8 am – 10 pm.

WHAT: The Petworth Safeway is excited to welcome multi-talented performer Aaron Myers, who will perform in the store’s café area,. Whether guests have time to stop and listen, or simply enjoy the music as they grocery shop, this is the part of an ongoing live jazz series at the store.

WHO: Aaron Myers is a Texas native and US Army veteran who began playing piano at the age of 3, and has spent most of his life to date playing, singing, directing and composing music. He released his newest album – The Lion’s Den – just last week.”
